Learning Log No. 6

Eli

On Monday of week 6, we went to the Natural History Museum of Utah for our first homeschool field trip with our Salt Lake Connect Pass. We started on the 5th floor and made our way slowly through each exhibit. Out of all the things we saw, my favorite part was looking at all of the dinosaur exhibit. I especially liked the giant sloth!

The highlight of our schooling this past week was the field trip to the Natural History Museum, too! We saw a lot of things about bugs, dinosaurs, weather, and the earth. My favorite part of the museum was the exhibit on earthquakes. You can jump on a spot to create your own 'earthquake'! I think I made the biggest 'jump earthquake' possible!

I had a lot of fun at the Natural History Museum this past Monday. I really liked playing the game about kangaroo rats and what they liked to eat! I also liked to make an 'earthquake' by jumping on the earthquake spot. We had a lot of fun looking at the wall of insects. We will be learning about insects and watching caterpillars turn into butterflies soon!
