I am halfway through my book Star of Light that I am reading for language arts. It is about a poor boy named Hamid who lives in the country. We are mostly focusing on math lessons this week to catch up from our move. I am learning to divide, multiply and round decimal numbers.

I have been reading Trumpet of the Swan for language arts. I am almost halfway through it. It is about a swan who wants to play the trumpet to impress another swan. I did well on my spelling test in language arts this week. In math, I am learning how to solve two-step math problems.

In math, I make equations out of a story problem every day. I am learning more about telling time, patterns, symmetry, and introduction to dividing. For language arts, I am reading some stories in my reader about rabbits. This week, I got 95% on my spelling test.
