Math is my least favorite subject. We have tried Teaching Textbooks, Math Mammoth, and now CTC Math. I think we have found a good math program in CTC Math. The lessons are short and each lesson has a video explaining the concept. I learn much better this way than when my mom teaches me because I get frustrated easily. I am hoping I can overcome my math challenges and start to enjoy it.

Our caterpillars came out of their cocoons this past weekend! They are "painted lady" butterflies and their wings are brown, orange, and white with spots. Right now, they are not flying around as much. We mixed sugar and water and dropped it on cotton balls for their food. We will watch them for one more week before they are released. We hope it will warm up for them to fly away comfortably. We learned more about the life cycle of a butterfly in our Arthropods lesson. These are pictures I took!

In Language Arts, I have been working on my sight word ladders. Each time I read a list without an error three times in a row, I get to color part of a picture. It's been awhile since we practiced them but today, I passed off ALL my sight word ladders! I have really improved in my reading.
