We have been learning about ancient times in History. My favorite part of History is when we can listen to Story of the World and then watch a video that goes with it. We have found and watched videos from YouTube about the mummification process, and archaeologists uncovering new tombs in recent news. It's very interesting!

We let our butterflies fly away this week. They were fun to hold and to look at closely. They stayed in our yard for a little while until they flew off out of sight. They were really cute up close. I hope to do this again in the Spring when it is a bit warmer! It has been fun to watch them grow.

I learned how to tie shoes this week! Although not part of a homeschool class, it was something I needed to learn! It was frustrating at first, but I was excited to finally do it on my own. For school, I am finding lots of good books on my Kindle. My new favorite book is The Bad Seed. He is so cute!
