This past week, our last week before Christmas break, we continued with our normal schedule as usual, minus History. It was 'review' week in History, so we didn't learn anything new in that subject. I think we did pretty well in remembering what we've learned with History. Our last lesson was about the first Olympics in Ancient Greece! We did a couple of Christmas activities during school time - making 3D snowflakes and baking and decorating sugar cookies!

I worked on homophones in Language Arts this past week. I do really well with them and don't mind that daily work. I would rather work on grammar than read the stories that are required for my Language Arts course. I think the stories are too long and I lose patience with them quickly. I only like to read when I get to choose the books!

I have been doing 2-3 lessons in Language Arts each school day (except Friday). I want to advance to Level 1 so I can be challenged more! I am doing really well with reading. We are working on digraphs like SH, CH, and TH. I am catching on quickly and have no problems with reading those types of words. Reading is still my favorite!
