Learning Log No. 39

Eli

I have been to the Museum of Ancient Life quite a few times. The first time I went was when I was about 2 years old, as old as my little brother now. I enjoyed walking behind the family and reading about the dinosaurs on my own. My favorite part was seeing Noah react to the large shark!

Homeschool this year was tougher for me as I like a more structured schedule, but moving really threw us off. We got back into it but it was hard to focus! I think this coming year will be when we find our balance and focus. I am already excited thinking about what electives I can take next!

I loved going to the dinosaur museum to watch my little brother, Noah, get so excited to see everything. It reminded me of when I went here on a couple of field trips while I was in public school. I enjoyed playing in the wet sand with the plastic dinosaurs with Noah. He had so much fun.

Being in homeschool this year has helped me lessen my anxiety from when I was in public school. It has given me better opportunities to focus on meeting new friends in our new neighborhood. I have been to some play dates and birthday parties. I like having more freedom by homeschooling!

Madelyn

For our last field trip and celebration of completing this school year, we went to the Museum of Ancient Life at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, Utah. We wanted to take my 2 year old brother to see all of the dinosaurs since he loves them! My favorite part was this little dinosaur that we could sit on! My little brother wanted to hug it!

I was so happy to be able to homeschool this year so we could move to a new city and not cause more anxiety joining a new school. I met a lot of new friends in our new neighborhood that also homeschool as well! I love being home with my mom and having her help with school work! I am excited to homeschool again next year.
