I have been working on sentence diagramming in Language Arts. It was a little confusing to me at first, but with more practice, I am able to do it easily. My mom and I both learned about it at the same time since she didn't learn it this way in school either. I am good at grammar but don't like to read the literature as much. It can be challenging for me to concentrate when I see a long story to read for Language Arts!

I am doing a lot better in math this week because of our Times Tales program that helped me with multiplication. I am just starting to learn about division and glad that I can use multiplication to help me. My brother and I compete to see who can answer the multiplication flash cards quicker. I am much happier with doing my Math work now!

This past week, we took a break from our normal Science curriculum after finishing Arthropods and did baking science! I helped my mom bake my birthday cake (December 11 was my birthday), and sugar cookies! I learned how to measure ingredients using fractions and measuring cups as well as how to work the mixer. I am excited to decorate our sugar cookies this week!
